Tripe for everyone this year at the Carnival Borgosesia , which officially opens Sunday, January 30 . Once again there will be more felt and lived the events from the fans of this event in the province of Vercelli program that will combine with a rich history and tradition with new surprises, all marked to celebrate the hundred and fifty years of Italian unification, with Peru Magunella mask and her dress tricolor to play the part of the protagonist. During the carnival the city quarters of Borgosesia fagiolata prepared a collective. To give a touch of novelty in 1974 it was decided to recognize as the official dish of tripe Carnival - also already typical dish of the inns on market days - and offer it free to the public. The initiative's success was immediate, consolidated, year after year, and even today the distribution of the traditional soup of tripe and vegetables is one of the most awaited and also marked the official opening of the carnival festivities. The tripe is prepared to Borgosesia in twenty-five square pots. The cooking starts at 6 am and ends around 11.


As the years passed there will be a lunch at the local Pro Loco of the Centre for over five hundred guests. The menu includes tongue with green sauce and pickles, tripe, boiled, Toma Valsesia, fruit. The distribution of tripe and lunch, will join the parade of floats and masked by foot, once again liven up the city life in a swirl of colors and sounds to delight young and old, and again the great and grand balls, the "Magunella Bierfest", the children dance, and many other picturesque initiatives. Borgosesia Carnival, which this year celebrates its centoventicinquesima edition, will end March 12.
